Mission
For the first time in Lake Manitou’s history, we are pleased to announce the formation of the Lac Manitou Motorboat Sports Association, a new organization dedicated to representing the interests of Motorboat Sports enthusiasts on our lake. Our mission is to be a constructive voice in the community, advocating for motorboating sports interests while promoting harmony on the water. As fellow residents and lake users, we cherish Lake Manitou and want to ensure it remains safe, enjoyable, and sustainable for everyone.
The Association will focus on:
Promoting safe boating practices through boater education, awareness, and courteous navigation.
Encouraging respectful and environmentally conscious boating, minimizing unnecessary wake, protecting shorelines and water quality, and supporting measures that preserve the lake.
Serving as a liaison with authorities and lake user groups, acting as a bridge between motorboaters, the Municipality of Ivry-sur-le-Lac, the AALM, and the broader community so that boaters’ perspectives are constructively represented.
Supporting dialogue and coexistence, fostering mutual understanding among all lake users and helping reduce conflict through ongoing communication.
